In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

1) In my final production, I’ve used many different generic conventions to immediately get the genre over to the audience. For example in the bedroom scene there were plenty of conventions featured, like the whiskey, gun, news articles and the empty photo frame. All of these suggest that the character is depressed however the gun suggests that the character is looking for revenge and therefore gets the genre of action over.

As for the bathroom scene there is a couple more conventions, these are the pills and photograph of happier times. This again clearly tells the audience that the character is in a deep state of depression.
